Looking ahead

• Brewers (Jeff Suppan) at Reds (Johnny Cueto), 1:10 p.m. ETAfter allowing just three earned runs in 13 1/3 innings in his first two major league starts, Cueto had his first tough outing in his third start, allowing five earned runs on five hits in six innings. This is a rematch of the April 8 game in which Cueto held the Brewers to two runs over 6 1/3 innings. Suppan, however, was even better that day, holding the Reds to one run over seven innings.
• Padres (Chris Young) at Diamondbacks (Edgar Gonzalez), 8:10 p.m. ETYoung went 9-8 with a respectable 3.12 ERA last season. His only major problem? The Diamondbacks. Young went 0-3 with a 7.32 ERA against Arizona, allowing 17 runs (16 earned) and 11 walks over 19 2/3 innings. Oddly, he allowed one earned run in eight innings over two starts against the D-backs in 2006, with 11 strikeouts and no walks.
