Yesterday Trevor Immelman won his 1st Major of his career and joined his boyhood idol, Gary Player as a Mastors Champion. Immelman beat out 2nd Place finisher Tiger Woods by 3 strokes on a gusting day on sunday. Immelman was in the Final Pairing with Brandt Snedeker for the 3rd and Final round. Woods was in the 3rd to last pairing.
Immelman was an unexpected winner as almost everyone was expecting Tiger to win considering he even said the grand slam(winning all 4 Majors) was easily in reach. The Tiger effect was on though on his partner Stewart Cink who was even with 4 bogeys and Immelman himself who shot a 75, after shooting 3 rounds of 68,68 and 69, if Immelman did shoot at 69 or below he would've become the first golfer to shoot in the 60s all four rouns at The Masters
