Another one bites the dust at home

The Celtics defeated the Pistons 88-79 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. Since 1985, the Celtics have won the first game in 22 of 24 playoff series that started at Boston. The only losses were the two previous times that Boston hosted the Pistons in Game 1 -- in the 1991 Eastern Conference semifinals (86-75) and the 1988 conference finals (104-96).
