More facts

The Pistons were 14-for-15 (.933) from the foul line on Saturday and they needed every one of those free throws in their 90-89 victory over the Magic. Only one team in NBA history had a higher free-throw percentage in a playoff game they won by a single point. On March 27, 1949, the Minneapolis Lakers defeated the Rochester Royals, 80-79, helped by a 24-for-25 (.960) performance from the foul line
The Celtics trailed the Cavaliers by 19 points at the end of the first quarter on Saturday, matching their largest deficit at that point of any playoff game in franchise history. On April 22, 1964, Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Bill Russell and company trailed the San Francisco Warriors by 19 at the end of the first period, en route to a 115-91 loss (the Celtics' only loss in that series).
Carlos Boozer's 27-point, 20-rebound performance highlighted the Jazz's 104-99 victory over the Lakers and put his name alongside Karl Malone's in Utah's playoff record book. Malone is the only other player in franchise history to have a 25-point, 20-rebound game in the playoffs and he did it three times, most recently in 1997
The Celtics held LeBron James to 6 for 24 from the field in Game 2 of their series, after he went 2 for 18 in Game 1. His two-game shooting percentage -- 19.0 percent (8 for 42) -- is the lowest in the shot-clock era in the NBA playoffs among players who attempted at least 40 shots over two games in one postseason. (For emphasis: We're not limiting the scope of that note merely to the first two games in a playoff series, nor even to two consecutive games within one playoff series. We're talking about any two consecutive games within one playoff year.)
The previous low was 19.5 percent (8 for 41), set in 1961 by a man who was at courtside on Thursday night, current Celtics broadcaster Tom Heinsohn.
Chris Paul scored 35 points, Tony Parker had 31 and Manu Ginobili also had 31 in the Spurs' win over the Hornets in Game 3 of their series.
Regarding Parker and Ginobili, it was the first time that a team's starting guards each had more than 30 points in a playoff game since May 19, 1992, when Terry Porter scored 41 points and Clyde Drexler had 36 for the Trail Blazers.
The last time that three starting guards had more than 30 points in a postseason game was also in 1992, when the Trail Blazers beat the Suns in double overtime, and Porter (31), Drexler (33) and Kevin Johnson (35) all scored more than 30 points.
Utah's victory over Los Angeles on Friday made home teams a perfect 11-for-11 in the second round of the NBA playoffs and lifted the home-team won-lost record during the 2008 playoffs to 41-14, a winning percentage of .745. You have to go back to 1990 before Michael Jordan had earned his first NBA championship ring to find the last time that home teams finished the NBA playoffs with as high a winning percentage; that year, home teams went 54-18 (.750).
